Compton Petroleum, Alberta Biogas Plant
Milman was engaged by HHAngus and an Italian energy firm, AB Energy International, to design a biogas cogeneration plant in Mazeppa, Alberta. Milman acted in the role of a prime consultant and lead structural, architectural, and civil disciplines.
The project involved a 12,500 ft2 building to house five (5) 4.0 MW gas-powered generators. Milman completed the design of a power generation facility to house the string of engines and generators, including the foundation, and structural support for stacks, cooling equipment, pipe racks, and miscellaneous M&E equipment.
Our team designed the prefabricated steel building structure, developed design of all connecting details, developed light gauge insulated panels and how it is connected to the main structure. The structure and the building envelope was designed by our team, manufactured in Italy, shipped to Canada, and assembled in Alberta.
